Since the beginning, Orbeon Forms used the idea of a toolbox to insert form sections, grids, and controls. The way you, as the form author, use the toolbox is simply by clicking one of the elements in the toolbox, which results in the insertion of the element into the form.

In addition, once a control is inserted, you can drag it around to move it to a different location in the form. You can even “shift-click” the drag icon to create a copy of the control (which, probably, few users know!).

However, there was no way to directly drag a control from the toolbox to the form! Orbeon Forms 2022.1 addresses this, and you can now drag a control from the toolbox to its intended location in the form.

This is a pretty straightforward improvement, but hopefully it will help make Form Builder more intuitive to beginners and non-beginners alike.
